Consisting of more than 350 events for 31 days each July, Artown brings to life theater, dance, film, history, multi-cultural, musical, visual and performing arts activities and events at venues citywide. Artown, noted by the National Endowment for the Arts as one of the most comprehensive art festivals in the country, unites more than 100 arts partners throughout the community and enhances accessibility to the arts with more than 60 percent of offerings free and dozens aimed at educating youth on the importance of the arts. Festival favorites include the Food for the Soul World Music Series, Movies in the Park, Rollin’ on the River music series, Artouring and the Discover the Arts children’s series.
