AARON LEWIS; STRAIND FRONTMAN, SOLO AND ACOUSTIC PERFORMING AT SILVER LEGACY ON JANUARY 27

Friday October 28, 2011

What started out as a rock career has turned a little bit country. Aaron Lewis, the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and founding member on the rock band Staind, has veered off with his debut solo album, Town Line. Released in March, 2011, it is a shout-out to his grandfather’s influence and includes seven tracks including three versions of the first single “Country Boy” featuring George Jones, Charlie Daniels and Chris Young. This album strikes a balance between classic and modern country.

Lewis’s band, Staind, was formed in 1995 and has recorded six studio albums: Tormented (1996),Dysfunction (1999), Break the Cycle (2001), 14 Shades of Grey (2003), Chapter V (2005) and The Illusion of Progress (2008) and a recent self titled album which was released in 2011.  With numerous chart topping singles, platinum success and over 15 million records sold worldwide, Staind has made its mark in the heavy metal genre.

But it’s the new direction that he is going that rounds out and signals the next evolution of his amazing talent. With Town Line, Lewis goes back to his roots, and as a result has committed to tape powerful and poignant songs that are personal, autobiographical and real. Along with Lewis’ unique voice and songs like “Massachusetts” and “Vicious Cycle,” the listener is given his tangible honesty and hypnotic, heartfelt tunes. He sums it up this way, “I’ve always stayed true to how I feel in my songs. I love this country, and I feel like I’ve gotten to live the American dream. I’m glad to celebrate that classic country spirit with this new music.”

You won’t want to miss the opportunity to experience Aaron Lewis doing what he does best, singing from his heart and connecting with his audience. He will perform at Silver Legacy’s Grande Exposition Hall on Friday, January 27 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available for $45 and $55 with premium seating available for $60.
