If you are waiting for someone to say what you’re thinking about religion, politics, the media and any other controversial subject, Silver Legacy has the show for you! Bill Maher is bringing his political satire and social commentary to the Grande Exposition Hall on Saturday, February 4 at 8pm.
From his exposure at Catch a Rising Star Comedy Club in New York City, Maher made numerous appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” as well as appearing in films and as a guest on numerous sitcoms. In 1993, Maher was offered a talk show on Comedy Central, “Politically Incorrect,” a roundtable discussion of current events. Following the move to ABC and, what turned out to be a controversial comment about the 9/11 attacks, “Politically Incorrect” was cancelled.” Bouncing back in 2003, Maher continued on HBO with a similar program titled, “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
Maher’s combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs has garnered him 22 Emmy nominations. Additionally, he is the author of four best sellers, has Emmy nominations for two of his stand-up specials on HBO as well as continuing to be a prolific live entertainer, playing to sold out theatres across the country.
