EXQUISITE FOOD AND HANDCRAFTED WINE PAIRINGS AT STERLING’S TRUCHARD WINE DINNER SILVER LEGACY OFFERS TICKETS TO EXCLUSIVE WINEMAKER DINNER

Tony and Jo Ann Truchard, proprietors of Truchard Vineyards, will be on hand for an intimate wine and food paring dinner at Sterling’s Seafood Steakhouse.  The opportunity to connect with these wonderfully approachable people who produce superb  wines,  selected  numerous times as Wine Spectators top 100 wines in the world makes it truly a “must experience.”  Add to that a menu that perfectly complements Truchard’s sublime wines and you have an evening of celebration to remember.

The reception begins with a notably challenging varietal that produced outstanding wine for the winery, 2010 Truchard Roussanne.  This not-so-well known white wine is described as rich with floral aromas of pineapple, honeysuckle, apricot; highlighted with brioche and vanilla and will be a lovely way to begin the evening with friends.

The first course is Dover Sole wrapped Diver scallop (hand-picked by divers) with truffled Lobster sauce topped with domestic Caviar paired with 2009 Truchard Chardonnay. The wine, clear with bright acidity, will accompany this course to perfection.

Next is Duck Confit over baby spinach with Dijon vinaigrette served with 2008 Truchard Pinot Noir. The centuries-old confit process of preservation renders the duck meltingly tender, paired with this silky-smooth wine, it is a bit of heaven!

The main course of farm raised Medallion of Elk Loin with rich red wine glace surrounded with roasted root vegetables is paired with a choice of Truchard Syrah 2008 and/or Merlot 2008. This seasonal course selection brings out the balance and elegance of both of the wines chosen to accompany.

The grand finale is a puff pastry with almond cream and honey mascarpone cream and candied orange sauce accompanied by Truchard “Late Harvest” Roussanne 2007.
