Join us for some spectacular evenings with Jazz vocalist Cece Gable. Performances are held from 7 to 10 pm and include a speciality Jazz Menu or Sterling's regular menu. A $15 minimum per person is required.
Artown - July 1-31
Consisting of more than 350 events for 31 days each July, Artown brings to life theater, dance, film, history, multi-cultural, musical, visual and performing arts activities and events at venues citywide. Artown, noted by the National Endowment for the Arts as one of the most comprehensive art festivals in the country, unites more than 100 arts partners throughout the community and enhances accessibility to the arts with more than 60 percent of offerings free and dozens aimed at educating youth on the importance of the arts. Great International Chicken Wing Society Cook-Off - July 4-5
Downtown Reno

Great International Chicken Wing Society Cook-Off Restaurants and bars from all over the world come to Downtown Reno to serve up their own version of chicken wings for tasters to judge. Visitors can wander throughout the cook-off to purchase sampler plates from each partici­pating restaurant.

Sterling’s Seafood Steakhouse Hosts Ferrari-Carano Jazz Dinner Featuring CeCe Gable - July 9 at 6 pm
Chef Neil Campbell will pair the five-course meal with selections from Ferrari-Carano vineyards. The inclusive meal is $99 per person.

The first course is a Lollipop Colorado Lamb Chop surrounded in blueberry, a balsamic butter sauce (PreVail, West Face, ’04.) The second course is a Chilled Leek, Chive and Potato with English Clotted Cream (Fume Blanc, ’06,) followed by a Butter Lettuce and Double Cream Roquefort Cheese Salad (Alexander Valley, Chardonnay ’06.)

For the main course, guests will enjoy a Filet of Fresh Chilean Sea Bass with Lobster Crust, Butternut Squash Risotto and Caviar Sauce
(Tre Terre, Chardonnay. ’06.)

Dessert is an Apricot Chocolate Ganache, Almond Pecan Nougatin and Chocolate Mascarpone Cream in a Hazelnut Sweet Dough Shell (Eldorado Noir, ’06.)

Pacific Island Festival of Reno - July 24-26, 2009

11th Annual Hevia I Reno
Downtown Reno will come alive with Hevia I Reno as the sounds of the Toere and Pahu fill the Reno Ballroom. Dancers from all over the United States will compete for cash and prizes and the honorable Overall Title.

Great Reno Balloon Race - September 11-13
Rancho San Rafael Park

This event features three days of a mass ascension of over 100 of the nation’s top hot air balloonists competing in multiple competitions for a prize purse. A trademark of the race is the Dawn Patrol that takes place before the sun rises and provides an amazing spectacle as balloons glow, twinkle, and fly against the dark sky. The world’s lon­gest running air race is the only place where you can see five days of real air racing among six classes of aircraft that reach speeds of more than 500 miles per hour.
