Summer is just around the corner and no one helps you beat the heat better than THE ROW with their annual Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews and Blues Festival, which will take place June 14 and 15 in the Heart of Reno. Featuring free concerts from Berlin with Terri Nunn and WAR, the annual event is equal parts barbeque block party, microbrew tasting event and music festival with two stages featuring nonstop rock and blues.

The Eldorado’s signature festival foods will be available at Gregg’s BBQ Pit including St. Louis style BBQ ribs, Texas salt and pepper smoked beef brisket and six whole smoked hogs full of pulled pork, plus all the fixings like creamy coleslaw, BBQ baked beans and corn bread. Other food booths will include the crowd-favorite fried calamari with srirancha sauce, pizza baguettes and loaded waffle fries topped with BBQ pork, cheddar cheese, green onions, pickled jalapenos and sour cream. Those looking to add a little spice to their palette can try fire-roasted corn with butter and smoked paprika or El Jefe’s street tacos topped with chicken, carne asada or carnitas.

New to the festival this year is a BBQ chicken sandwich with smoked chicken chipotle BBQ sauce and waffle fries. Last, no great American summer BBQ is complete without the classic cheeseburger and fries.

Wash down the delicious food with microbrews from over 50 breweries on tap at this year’s festival. Beer tasting packages for the 24th annual event are on sale now and can be purchased in advanced for $40 per person for a one day pass and $65 per person for two days with prices increasing to $45 and $75 on the day of the event. Tickets include a commemorative tasting mug and an unlimited beer tasting wristband for the purchased time frame.

Hours for Brews and Blues are 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday with beer tasting ending one hour prior to the festival’s end time. Among the over 50 confirmed breweries for 2019 include The Brew Brothers, Revision Brewing Company, Ballast Point, Stoneyhead, Lagunitas, Angry Orchard, Kona Brewing, Samuel Adams Brewery, Saint Archer and Deschutes Brewery.
