 Scotty McCreery, born in Garner, North Carolina became interested in music from a very young age. His hard work and determination paid off when he won on Season 10 of American Idol. At only 16 years old, Scotty courageously auditioned for American Idol, singing “Your Man” by Josh Turner. He impressed the judges with his deep voice and was asked to join American Idol. The favorite, Scotty bagged the big prize of American Idol Season 10 in May 2011.
His first album Clear as Day was released in October 2011, just five months after he won in American Idol. Singles “I Love You Big,” “The Trouble with Girl” and “Water Tower Town” helped the album climb to the top of the Billboard Chart, selling 197,000 copies the first week it was released.  The album hit platinum and Scotty McCreery became the youngest artist to debut at #1 after the first album released and first ever country singer to debut at #1 with his first album.
